Urdd Urban Games

Following the huge success of BMX, Skateboarding and 3×3 Basketball at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics the aim of Urdd Urban Games (2022) was to showcase and celebrate the new and exciting Olympic sports along with other activities on the Urban scene. 

I had the opportunity to develop a strategy to promote the inaugural games on social media and create engaging bilingual content to attract new followers. I was also a part of the on-location media team during the event, working closely with the Urdd’s marketing team, posting live updates on social media (copy, stills and video).

Instagram followers increased by + 4,200% and 27,514 accounts were reached in two months in addition to 113.9k impressions and 25,039 profile visits on Twitter.

Urdd Urban Games is back for 2023 and it’s promising to be bigger and better with new activities and competitions, including bouldering.
